Well had an hour or two to spare today, went out to Green Lake to catch some stocked fish. Fished the west side of the lake, wanted to try and get some of those carp, but saw some rainbows rolling so I switched up. Power eggs on the line and power bait on the hook did the trick. The guy I was fishing next to had a nice sized trip at about 24 inches and I got to take home these two beauties. Both fish are 18", brother and sister most likely. 4 pound test and my ultra light ugly stick made for a tough fight, I lost some line, gained it back and these fish fought like little steelhead on this light gear. It was a lot of fun. The fish were about as far as you can cast out, schooling up along the west shore at the line where the lily pads will end in the summer.

The bite slowed down at about 6 pm and then I left. Looks like the lakes are starting to warm up a bit, can't wait to get some bass on the line.
