Had a great day out on American Lake. Got to the lake around 10AM and fished until 3:30PM. There were tons of people out on the lake when we arrived. Trolled the North side of the big island and then around the island. Didn't start catching fish until we got to the south side of the island. I was catching fish at about 15 feet down on my mini lake troller dowrigger with a flasher, wedding ring with maggots. My buddy was using a similar set up but used split shot to get his gear down deep. We kept 7 Kokanee and 1 rainbow. Released a few dinky rainbows. Had tons of hits and lost a bunch of fish when fighting them in. Was awesome fishing, and I got sunburnt too. Also, got tons of hits on the way back to the boat launch on the west side of the.
