Got on the lake about 10am with the wife & dogs. First time out for my Golden Ret. pup. On the lake about ten min. and we boated our first 'bow about 11". Trolling (rowing) a frog F-4 flatfish. That did it....The pup could take no more....she had to try to fetch one of these slimy chew toys! Over she went without any warning. After swimming for about two minutes she realized a rod & hook was the way to go. Back in the boat and soak ma & me. We then rowed back through there and I landed another one a bit bigger than the last. We then rowed by a log with a big (8-10") turtle that hit the water...again, it was more than the pup could take....SPLASH, almost tipped the boat over this time. Back in and shake off on ma & pa. We left around noon with our two trout and soaking wet. I also took my new toy...an underwater camera to see what the bottom is like.....8-12" weeds all over. Now for the $$$$question...what does "no motorized crafts of any kind" mean? I saw two other guys with!
elect. trolling motors, but I interpreted it to mean "of any kind" includes anything with a motor! So I left mine in the truck. Regardless, this is a pretty little lake and quiet. Good fishin! Guy
