Hit up American in the late afternoon/early evening since the clouds decided to clear away for a bit. Found the perch scattered in the 30-45ft range along the north shore. Got 8 pretty decent ones with one big fatty about 12 inches. All were spawned out females. Also picked up 2 really large Rock Bass around 8 inches (big for rock bass standards lol). No smallies this time, skunk is still strong in my boat for American.

All fish were caught on drop shot with 4" Yamamoto Kut tail worm in green pumpkin/blue flake. Fish were not really agressive, would just nip it when dragging slowly across bottom. Water temp on the north end was around 57, slightly higher in the shallows with highest temp reading 61.

Nice afternoon despite the water skier that kept going back and forth along the shore just outside the bouy line. With almost the entire lake empty, why do they always seem to feel the need to ski 100 yards from where I am fishing? Whatever happened to courtesy?
