Arrived at the lake at 1000, left at 1500. Weather was partly cloudy with little wind, water temp went from 46F to 50F when I left.

I started out trolling a wedding ring and got a few hits, but nothing held on. Switched to a perch color rapala and ended up getting a nice little cutthroat (finally, been about 2 weeks since I caught one out there) but that was the only bite on that lure. Decided to try a wooly bugger for the first time and got a few hits and had one cutthroat upto the boat. Went back to a wedding ring and got a few more hits and lost a rainbow.

Fishing was tough today, but if I would have landed half of what bit I suppose it would have been better. Figure I'll try Lake Number Twelve tomorrow for the first time and hopefully get some nice perch and bluegill.

Man I'm jealous... wish I got out and fished as much as you do!

Lake 12 is a good little lake. Was there about a month ago trolling for trout. You pretty much have to stay in the middle of the lake. I would say once you got in water 15ft or less you'll start getting tangled up in the weeds. Not sure how much has grown since we were last there but you may also have to paddle through the weeds before turning the trolling motor on. Also on the East end are beaver dams...we actually saw some of the beavers. My boy had a blast...

Thanks Canoe... I'm unemployed for the next month so I figure I better fish while I can. I found out what you meant about the weeds at lake 12, I was afraid my motor was going to get to many stuck in it, but luckily it was good
