I had fifteen minutes to kill on a break and I was right corss the street. I stopped in to make a few casts, and first cast while I was setting up my other pole, my bobber apparently went under and shot off dragging my pole up the fence and toward the water. Well not really, but the fish was really tugging and moving it around and dislodged my pole from its groove.

AS it turns out it was about 7 or 8 inches, but it sure hit like a ton of bricks. I kept it, even though it was puny, but that's the size of fish they put in the lake this year, so that's what you're going to get. I'm linking to it so that you all know, the fish are biting very well, but they're small. If you fish with bait and are going to release the fish, cut your line please! All the high grading going on has nice sized 10 to 12 inch fish dead on the bottom. From the middle dock where I was fishing I counted at least five within sight, dead and rotting. The chance of survival if you leave the hook in is really high. Besides, those fish count for your limit anyway.

Anyway, great 15 minutes of ffishing, great weather, ate the fish tonight with some homeade mac and cheese and it was delicious.
