testing out the inflatable kayak on my home lake, on a particularly windy day, perhaps not the best conditions for such a noob. Launching out of the northend, with a steady wind from the west, i worked my way into the middle and to the "island" while trolling another weddingring spinner, and hooking up a couple planter trout, now starting to bulk up a bit! most were around 10" but the bite was constant in the middle of the lake with a couple hook ups 100 ft from shore. Though with the weeds starting to come in, it was just easier to stay clean in middle.

One thing i learned, it still gets cold, and once my jeans were totally soaked, i realized i was going numb, and cramping up while trying to get ashore. I felt ridiculous stuck in the kayak not being able to climb out because i couldn't straighten my leg, and i had no feeling in my feet once i was standing... Next time, waders or rain pants will be employed until this water is warmer!

One rockbass caught, otherwise about 10 rainbow caught, 5 kept for dinner with the family. Ps thanks Mom and Dad for the fish fry!

does anyone know if the weddingring setup is good for larger trout too? I'd really like to see a another triploid...

Well, after yesterday, we now know that the wedding ring is capable of taking triploids too!
