Wow I went out to Medical to catch some bass. I had no luck for about twenty minutes so I decided to try a crappie jig. I went to this place on the walking trail where there is a island made of indiviual rocks. There is a little ledge and I caught at least 15 black crappie. Including a 13 incher. Then after my friend caught a little bass, a 1 pounder only 10 inches. We cooked some crappie but only two and they were delicious. By the way I use a bobber and a jig so you don't get snagged on the branches the crappie are hanging out in, and we also caught a five pound green tench..

Crappie are actually one of Medical's best kept secrets. Find the right spot, and you can catch them for hours! I know of THE BEST spot on the lake....yes I do.

I like fishing W. medical but I don't eat the fish from this lake. Read the report and see for yourself..... http://www.ecy.wa.gov/biblio/0803104.html

I know that this lake has special regulations such as single barbless hook, no baits, and artifical lures right? With that being said I was wondering how did u manage to fish for crappie? Since u can't use baits or jigs right?
