Spent May 20th through 22nd camping at Detroit Lake with buddy of mine.. this year I also brought my 9yr old fishing buddy too. We had a great time with constant bites on the north side of the island and around the marinas. My friend trolled a triple teaser with consistent action. I mixed it up a bit and caught fish on a pink hoochie, triple teaser, and what ever else looked good behind a sling blade. My son ended up with the hot set up. A small kokanee troll with a pink Gamakatsu flat blade spinner. Always tipped with white corn and craw scent. We had a great time. Kept 16 trout over the weekend. Most were freshly stocked but some of the 12" fish were really nice and had good pink meat. The ones over the fire spent most of the day in a brine. We fought over the left overs :)
