Awesome day out in the boat with the family. On the water around 1PM on the hunt for crappies.
Caught loads of them between my wife,son and myself but all pretty small for the most part. Most fish were caught on a variety of small jigs and a few were caught with worm/bobber in depths from 2-12 feet. Also caught a few pumpkinseed in the mix but much to my surprise,not a single rock bass or perch. Weather conditions were up and down,sunny followed by cloud cover and very heavy gusts at times but by 5PM in a typical day at Lake Kapowsin,the lake layed down and was almost smooth as glass. All fish released and a much needed family fishing trip with more great memories created.
Trout fishing has picked up too for boaters and bankers but not sure what baits are most productive.
