We arrived at Ohop at first light, which is key for fishing
this lake, so is structure.
The best sound of all echoed across the lake
a huge bull elk. My many excellent stories on this lake
include a huge Crappie that fell short a state record.

On this day me and two teenagers caught 157 yellow perch
and were off the lake at 3pm, Kept 10 nice ones!
This is my all-time record.
The old record was 75 fish in 4hrs.

Take the kids to this one!
>From a boat, use a split shot with
2ft leader and No 6 hook. Drag the bottom very very slowly with
a HUGE Nightcrawler. True! Bigger the worm bigger the fish, go
crazy with the bait! no joke!
I take up to 60 nightcrawlers for the day.
>From shore, but use a heavy bass sinker to get
the bait out as far as possible, farther the better!

I also found out parking here without the parking permit cost
$67, Use it! and help me keep the shoreline clean. Please!
Happy Fishing!!
