Was out there again today from 2-7pm. I figured it would be crowded and thought I would try to go up river to Bonnie Lake. I had always thought it was supposed to be navigable between rock and bonnie when there is enough water, but it did not look like it from what I saw. Had a nice brown follow near the inlet and a hookup, then nothing for a couple of hours. Hooked several good sized browns, water was clear enough to see them take the crankbait quite a few times, but they didn't stay on for more than a couple of seconds. Overall fish seemed much more uncooperative today. Eventually managed to C&R two nice browns in the 18-20" range. From the fish I saw and the two I landed, it seemed like the size was there, but not the numbers. Water temps on the surface were 62+ everywhere, clarity was significantly better than Friday. Seems like there hasn't been much wind at least the last few days, so wonder if the wind has that big an effect on water temp in rock or if there is some stratification going on.

6/6/2011 6:54:00 PMwell I was just wondering if they were roaming the shallow water in big numbers so that a guy could go bow fish them. last year I saw a bunch swimmin just past the bridge and I saw a guy bowfishing to the right of the launch in that bay about 200 yards away.. Just wondering if you saw a bunch swimming around because its about an hour drive to go check it out lol...thanks for th help

6/6/2011 7:08:00 PMFriday they were definitely all over the place, but Sunday, I didn't notice, plus there was a ton of boat traffic, may have scared them off. Friday they could have easily been shot from the boat, but they weren't very large, probably about 18 inches or so. Every time I go down to the Snake there have been many carp, and big ones that don't spook until you are right up on top of them, but the vis on the snake hasn't been great.
