So between my last report on yesterday (day of this report) the water level on fish has gone up mysteriously about 8" making getting a boat out easier again.
Weather was partly cloudy, temps in the upper 60's, and gusty northerly wind. Water temp went from 53 to 57 while I fished.
I arrived on the lake at 0940 and began trolling my usual set up. The gusty wind made it hard to steer and maintain a speed in my little raft. The first hour I picked up a pretty nice cutthroat and got a few bites... than it died. For the next 3 hours I was getting bites, but nothing would stick and they weren't that numerous. I was getting frustrated until I finally figured out where they were hiding. Close to the west bank on the north half of the lake got me my final 4 fish between 1400 and 1500. Each time I would make a pass through that area I would at least get a hit.
