trying to find deer lake is hard so good luck.do not use Google map you will get lost.go to Harrington WA take coffee pot road 18 miles (go past coffee pot lake exit a mile or so)(coofee pot lake is part of the cahian of lakes and just above Deer lake) turn left on Zagelow rd(dirt road)go down to where it makes a sharp right. there on the left side at the corner is a shacky dirt road going off into the sage brush.(right next to the ranch house driveway).(the guy who lives in the ranch house gives public access to the lake) go down the road and go thru the gateand keep going until you get to the lake. Great rural camping there but lots of rattle snakes!.Don't bring your nice boat ,the boat ramp is 3% grade ,dirt and in bad shape(must rope boat up and down) Trolling works but I found the best bit was from shore where anyone can limit out by 7 am.Use a good size sliding sinker with a 4 foot leader with any color of power bait or anything you want.cast as far as you can. Bits right away! This is a nice place so dont litter or the land owner will close the lake. BE SURE TO TAKE YOUR TRUCK ,YOU WILL NEED THE CLEARANCE TO GET IN(LIFT KIT NOT NESSARY)In july the old timers said there is great Largemouth fishing here. Have fun

Thanks for the note about the snakes. I doubt I'll be traveling here anytime soon as I'm deathly terrified of any snake, let alone a rattler.
