6/13/2011 7:57:00 PMHaving a water temp feature at below surface depth is a impressive feature. I have not shopped F.F. for many moons. Nor heard anyone else on this site speak of this feature on there depth finders. Had no id-er the feature was available on any newer units. How deep will the temp read? Was shocked to read your report was from a Westside Lake. I imagine packing for the trip over here was challenging when comparing Eastern to Western daily temps. Long johns.....check, winter jacket........check, heated socks.......check, top of Antifreeze in the rig........check, oh rain gear.......check, moss repellent...........lol! Glad you made it over, caught some fat fish, had fun with family, dealt with a little traffic and wrote a report.

6/14/2011 8:42:00 PMToni, your right. The son came out over the weekend......that was nice. Then disappeared on Monday. Couple of sun breaks Tuesday. I know it not that bad, cause we here on the westside are acclimated to the climate. Hewsfisher is a good sport, he will know I am funnin with him. Because it isn't really that bad over here. Just the same, 2 hours in the sun over there (eastside of the mountains) my olive colored skin would be burnt!!

6/14/2011 9:09:00 PMHey MotoBoat, it WAS cold Saturday morning, and I was glad to have my wool shirt and vest on. My brother was cold too, so it wasn't just me. :-D The sun finally came out about noon time and made the rest of the day much more enjoyable while on Lewis Lake. The water temp at depth is not a FF feature, it's a separate device that you attach to your line or downrigger and send into the depths. Retrieve it, press view, and read the recorded temps at 5' intervals - really cool. Made by FishHawk, check 'em out on the 'net. I'm itching to try it at Roosevelt, which if nothing gets in the way, I'll do on the 25th! :-)
