Fished Monday and Tuesday. Got a hot tip on a spot near Crab Creek so Monday morning we started at 6 and the bite was on! We boated 16 Walleye and 1 smallmouth. We had to release a 22 1/2" Walleye as we already had our 1 fish over 22" each. Around noon the wind started really kicking up and the bite shut off completely.
Tuesday we started at 5 am hoping to maximize the morning bite. Our fish from Monday were either gone or lock-jawed. We had 2 bites by 7 am. We expanded our trolling path and caught 2 walleye about 16''. Decided to move a mile or so, and glad we did! 2 minutes in we were bit. Lost a PIG of a fish about 10' short of the net, boated a 25'' Walleye. caught and released a nearly 4 lb. smallmouth. Stopped for lunch around noon and after lunch the bite ended as fast as it started. Ended up with 10 Walleye 16-25".
