Headed out to Silver with Pat last Friday evening. We've been waiting for Silver to turn on, but everyone including Fish & Game have said "it's been really slow". Our first trip here in mid April we got skunked, it was disappointing to say the least. So with the water finally getting warmer & the fact we'd been catching Bass@ other area lakes we figured it was time to get the skunk off Silver for 2011. Ended up fishing a couple spots where we've done well in the past & finally got the skunk off Silver. I caught (2) Largemouth, one was 2 lb the other around 2 3/4 lb, & Pat caught a 2 lb 6 oz Largemouth. All three were caught within 8 feet of shore-flipping plastics. We only fished a couple hours, & with Silver beating up on us thus far - we were happy with just the three fish.
