Went to Depression Lake(next to Baker) to fish with an older buddy of mine who's disabled and had not fished in a long time. Went to the North end and got skunked while row boats were nailing them. After an hour we headed to the dam end of the lake and knocked the socks off these rainbows with golden colored backs. Good fighting fish and glad to be productive for my elderly friend. 8 fish total in thge two hours spent on the water. Corn scented eggs; 2 ft. leader in this shallow end of the lake prob. 8 ft. deep.

What size were the trout? Any pictures of the trout with "golden" colored backs.

Were you camping there too? did ya notice if that campground (kulshan) was open? Is the end of the lake next to baker the best? its a bit hard to bank fish in that area very steep.

Yes camping is open but fills quick. Yes it's the best. Try fishing the other end of the dyke where the trees and beach are. That is my best place to toss Blue Fox spinners. It is deep quick probably 20 feet but clear so creep on down there. For plunking same beach but at the south end, cast at a 45 south. A chanel goes through there and a 18in or 2ft leader single egg works the best for me. I call it the 20 fish hole because the kids always catch about 20 fish there with pink Fire Bait.
