Could not get it going today. Hit the pads near the dam where I know their is a ton of perch. Threw a rage frog over the top, a spinnerbait down the weedline, and punched the slop with a rage baby craw. Only got bit once and a short smallie shook me loose. I did see two giant carp spawning in the crud, splashing and thrashing making quite the scene. Hit my 2nd spot directly across lake from the DNR launch. Picked up two decent smallies, one on a spinnerbait and one on a lipless crank. Ran to Willow bay and caught one small largemouth and a solid 3 pound smallie on a squarebill crank fishing the shoreline. Fished across the lake from Willow bay before heading to the launch and caught a 2 pound smallmouth on a spinnerbait. Tough to get bit today! Lots of sun, lots of people on the water. I don't think the majority of bass have finished spawning yet, but I could be wrong. Didn't spend any time sight fishing looking for beds. Lots of debris on the water. Tight lines - Fish on!!
