I got my pontoon in the water about 8:30am, nobody was on the north end of the lake. It wasnt very far when I caught my first rainbow on a damsel fly but was only about 8" so released it and I knew from the topo map that this was the shallow end so I trolled down to the south end, lost a fly due to being inattentive when dropped anchor. There was one other boat at the south end fishing next to the blocked off area. Not sure but saw they were using some sort of lure but didnt see them catch anything. There was no top action at all, windy off and on and overcast most of the trip.

I rowed back to the north end to try where I caught the first one. There was a family fishing off the big point on the west side. I heard someone say that is the best spot on the entire lake (from shore). I heard them catch a few. They were using bobbers but I dont know what type of bait. I was just north of them in the 5-10 feet waters which is where I ended up catching all my fish. Lost two flies but found they were hitting well on a brown wooly worm with a red butt.

Hooked 5 total and got 4 to the boat...3 rainbows (8", 8", 11") and one 6" Brookie. The other got off before I could see what it was. None of them were really big fighters either. All fish were released in good condition. Spent 6 hours so the fishing was pretty slow. Watch for deadheads in the shallows.

As far as top action, it was mostly dead all morning till around 11-12 on the north end then they started topping and that is also when they started biting.

I saw one campsight near there water with two poles in the water and no body around for a good 6-7 minutes. I hate when people leave their poles unattended. All the campsites were full when I got there.
