Today was a mixed bag at Browns. The water level was high but the fishing was low.
The lake is up higher than I have seen it in a very long time. In the middle I was getting depth readings of 32 feet. The channel going to the back bay was 16 ft deep. Along the shoreline just below the campsites, the water was up to the shrubs and trees, when usually there is some shoreline to beach a boat.
We started fishing about 11:00 a.m., water temperature was 58°-60°, high overcast and about 70°. The winds were light and variable.
Started trolling with sinking line using a orange body bucktail. Had two fish on but couldn't get them to the net. I later switched over to floating line and used a Bi-visible working the south shore and landed two 12" Cutthroats. Mike caught five using chironomids, buggers and an Adams.
All afternoon long, there were very few rises on the lake and very few fish marked on the fish finder. I didn't notice anyone else on the lake landing even one fish. Mike and I seemed to be the only ones catching any fish. The day was disappointing as far as the numbers caught, but it was still nice to get out on the water and enjoy a great day.

If your interested in catching small fish and low qty's, that is the lake to do it in. With fishermen taking twice the limit of fish allowed (which I have seen several times) there are hardly any fish in Browns lake like it used to be. Not worth the drive as far as I am concern. There are quality lakes closer , and will provide you with much better quality of fish. IMHO.

yeah PO County had a very good snow pack this year, everything is up pretty high. I've hear quite a few hotspots at various lakes have changed due to how high the water is currently
