My skunk continues. Fished with my wife along (just for the boat ride) which was nice. It was a good day to be out, except this lake has way more waterskiers than I expected, and must all be home owners as there is no way a ski boat is getting on that water using the WDFW launch - it's only about 8-12" in the skinny part of the channel, water is down a bit. The lake itself is nice enough and I'll have to come back on a weekday morning on my own. I did get to put my new BassPro Shops carbonlite rod/reel through it's paces and I was pleased with the product. Lookign forward to catching some bass with it.

I threw pretty much spinners, jigs, and crank baits. Mixed it up and worked from shoreline to 10-12 ft with the crank. Got bit on the spinnerbait a couple times but just nips.

Saw an anchored boat with father and sons catch a few trout, nice job guys. :-)

I'll be back...

I've fished Shoecraft a few times with mixed results. Thanks for the report even though your skunk continues...

I have fished shoecraft a few times, have had my truck broken in there a few times as well. I have found that lake to be very slow. with the way the water has been heating up around here t should take a couple more weeks for them bass. sounds like the perch where being active, good sign. I spend alot of time in the "7 lakes" area. so far the only luck is with Loma. that launch is somethin else isn't it, alot of anchor pitchin and draggin by the bigger boats. see ya out there
