No pics to post this time...I fished from 4pm to 7pm....one squealer....half a pound largemouth. I had several 4 inch long LMB grip on to my spinner, jerkbaits, worms but no real luck on the bigger fish....algae is making the water really cloudy with the green, yucky stuff....will try again either tomorrow or Friday...

There are several lakes that I know of that turn to split pea soup during the summer. It just amazes me how bass survive in it. I have been told that the algae is actually only in the upper stratta of the water, but I don't know.

Having grown up on this lake, I do know that the bloom will stay on top until a good wind/rain goes through. When colder, casting football heads out into the open water tends to result in more hookups. There are very minute ledges that run several places about 30 feet out from shore. Interested to see if Carolina rigging would work here as well. Never tried as a kid

Bank- Agreed, I had casted out about 20-30 yds and had a single hook up on a stick bait worked hard. I have tossed the idea around about the football head (I have several in the tacklebox!) but have been too stubborn to try one out.

Ricky- I noticed the jig/lure/bait clearer under the scum floating around with the aid of polarized glasses.
