Most excellent! What area of the lake?

We were on the south end about 1/2 way down on the highway side approx 100 yards off the shore line in about 30 - 40' feet of water. The trick to catching silvers is this, or what method I use. I use a 5'6" ultra light rod and 6 lb test line, I use a #4 or #6 hook, glo hook or other plain hook it realy doesnt matter much, shoepeg corn on first up to the shank of the hook, then a maggot or two, use 2 size 2 or 1 size 1 split shot sinkers to get the bottom quickly (to avoid the sun fish on the way down) after finding the bottom I give it 2 complete reels up till you feel the weight on the line from the sinkers then 2 cranks up. Use a light jigging motion, jig with your wrist not with your arm. Kokes nibble (they feel alot like a cutthroat does) they dont inhale like a rainbow does so any slight resistance on your line set the hook and reel in all in one motion. Other than that it just takes practice and time. Thats why they call it fishing and not catching!!

yes used a floating styrofoam light, forgot to mention that. Normally I use a green glo hook, but red and white do just as good.

Nice batch of fish! My buddy and I also attach spring bobbers to the end of our rods, allowing us to see even the lightest takes. Like cmthomas says, it takes a lot of practice but once you know what to look for and what to feel for, it's a piece of cake. I got skunked my first 3 trips despite having dozens of takes. On my 4th trip I hammered em and haven't looked back since. Night fishing for kokes is a blast!

your right 64, spring bobbers do the job too, but I find them a little disctracting, for me its all in the feel. You go to set the hook to hard with kokes and the hook will rip right out of their mouth. If you can fish for cutts, fishing for silvers should be fairly easy to get ahold of.
