My son and I hit Baker this morning. We launched at Panorama Point and had our lines in the water by 5:30-6:00. We started out with a double and had a slow pick until we ended with a triple having to release one of the fish. We worked the shelf at the east end of the lake, adjusting gear depth as we went depending on what was on the meter. All our fish were on some color of sockeye flies that I have been developing. Not perfected yet, but they seem to be working. All hooks were tipped with shrimp. Again our optimum trolling speed seemed to be 1.4 mph.

As we were getting the boat cleaned up for the trip home the PSE transport truck arrived to dump its load of fish. It was pretty cool watching the whole process and that is one fancy truck! It was a great morning on the water and we went home with limits of sockeye running 7-10 pounds with two fish pushing the 10 pound mark.

Dang rseas, U seem to have this fishery dialed in very nicely! Great to see your son getting out there with U too. Double win! :-)

Very nice report Randy, thanks! Save some for the rest of us, haha!

Good to hear the truck is making runs again, they were out of commission for a few days but I've been watching the website and the numbers are climbing!

The fish that you saw being released sure weren't interested in biting today (Friday July 29th) by any means! Glad you did well.
