Me and a friend headed up to baker this morning to get some more fish and have fun again. We ended up with our limits making it 5 limits of sockeye for me and my friends who go with me in the last two outings. it started out rather slow with two fish lost and one in the boat for the first hour or so but after we got those lost fish out of the way we started to hammer them. We were fishing just under noisey creek away from all the crouds down at the bend. Smiley blades and sandshrimp got 5 of our fish at 20-40ft off the downrigger. The pink squid was not doing anything for us today so I switched it out for a shinny pink fly and put that at 27ft of line out with a 4oz weight. Trying to get our last two fish was tough so we decided to head down to where all the boats were to give it a shot. On the way down my rod at 40ft takes a dance just before we get down to all the boats. Halfway through bringing it in my lead line goes crazy and we soon have a double header. That was very exciting to get our limit fish on a double header. Another great day on the lake brings another limit for my freezer.
