Decide to go to Sammamish, had to test some props and such anyway, can't do that on the small lakes.

Caught a few decent perch on a crank and tube. Lots of little bites on a spinnerbait.

Only caught largemouth bass. Biggest was a 2-9 on a tube way back in the pads. Fought GREAT, but I was able to keep the buzzard from tieing itself up in the pads.

Yes it does. the upper lip had been split in the past and healed back together, leaving a flat spot right at the tip. The lower lip wasn't as bad but was flatish too.

I wonder why the Largemouth are caught so rarely in other sections of the lake that look like good habitat for them other than the very North End? Maybe there is so much competition from the Smallmouth in the other places that the Largemouth only live in the North End mostly. I think that's weird. Where I come from Largemouth are usually very aggressive and hit topwater lures more than I have seen in this particular lake. All of the big Largemouth that I've caught have been on Plastics on the bottom just off the weed beds. I hate fishing in the middle of Lily Pads and Flipping for them with 40lb. line. It's just not fun to me. The hawgs are caught that way however, in this lake. Nice fish!

Well, I was fishing with spinning equipment as usual, and 10 pound line. The same setup I use everywhere on any lake or river. Sometimes if I'm fishing a clear water lake I'll use 6 pound line, same rod and reel and tube with 1/16 to 1/8 oz weight and once in a great while 1/4oz.. I like being able to catch fish that way, with lighter line, and spinning where others use heavy stuff.

Sammamsh was great for Largemouth all over the lake years ago, but yes the Smallmouth have taken over most of the lake, but there are still Largemouth all over, but harder to find.
