I was finally able to get out on the boat Sunday evening with the kids. My goal was to get the kids into some fish. I taught my two oldest (10 & 7) how to drop shot, and they put several in the boat! They both managed to catch a couple each that went a little over 2lbs. Very nice fish that had their little rods doubled over. I found a sweet little spot that seems to hold a little bigger fish then what I have been catching. I caught one that topped the scale at 3lbs even. Overall, a terrific evening that my kids will not soon forget! On a side note: When I was at work the next day, I received a call from my daughter the next morning, and she was so excited because she grabbed her rod and went to our dock and caught a smallmouth! She was so excited that she did it all by herself. I think I have them hooked!
