Sandy and I liked the drive up, the quick fish and the scenery back down, we decided to see if we could duplicate the previous days results. We did! It was a beautiful 50 minute boat ride from the State Park to the pens. The fish were immediately cooperative and we quckly limited. We took some time returning to the park and checked out scenery and wildlife on the way down. It was a lovely trip. The current was a bit heavier so we were kind of bottom bouncing our Pautzke's Firebait to get the biters. The 5 pounder turned Sandy inside out on the ultra light gear. Then one time, the expert (me, ha, ha, ha) was showing her how to find the bottom and let a 3 pounder take us all the way to the core of the spool before setting the hook and beginning to fight it back to the boat. What a great morning on the water.
