Just wanted to spend some time on open water getting used to my new baitcasting reel. Tye is on the way home and I figured I might catch a few. I was on the water about 45 min (half of that dealing with birds nests) but managed to catch a large moulth and trout. I had a larger bass to the waterline but shook off...

Fun times, and this might end up being a regular stop for me, next time with ultralight gear!

Not bad for fishing off shore in such a short timeframe. Ultralight gear is the only way to go. If you are shorebound a good spot is to park at the shopping center by Sockeyes resturaunt, Then you can walk back behind on the trail where there are some nice areas. Deeper water, protected from wind, and the fish seem to be more concentrated back there.

Yes @travy in Monroe. @TedBull the signs there say "customer parking only". I will probably bring the ultralight next time, where exactly do you park?
