Got out pretty late this evening. Started fishing around 6pm. At first I carolina rigged a real worm. On the first cast I caught a small 10 inch largemouth. At about 7pm I on a large salted plastic crawdad that was 5 inches long. On about my fifth cast I hooked and landed 6 pound largemouth in thick cover. From then on I caught 4 3pounders, 5 around 2-21/2 pounds, and 2 1pounders all on the same rig. Today I released all my fish. I caught a 13 inch very fat cutthroat trout on the worm. Over all I caught 13 largemouth bass and one of which was 6 pounds. It was a surprisingly good day for being in the middle of the summer.
