Headed to Coulon for the last time this year with my buddy, we started chumming the boat launch to attract carps in so we can get them. After that we moved to Ivar's to fish and all of a sudden a huge Pikeminnow came out of nowhere and was cruising on top water! It was at least 3ft in length and probably weighed about 10lbs. We didn't get it though.

Then we fished the backside of Ivar's and I hook onto a Sockeye with a Rapala rattle trap and this time it bit it too. Small one though but jumped a lot!

We then moved to the Boeing area and saw a bird that died with it's head submerged but its bottom was up and we thought it was kind of weird. We then noticed it had a lure in it's mouth and there was a fishing pole in the water as well. So I hooked onto the pole and brought it up. My friend took the pole. It was a 4ft ultralight rod with a reel to it too. I kept the spoon that was on the rod.

We then headed back to the boat launch to catch some carp. After 20 min of nothing biting some of our friends arrived as well to catch Carps. My buddy ends up landing a big carp today. As well as some crawfish was caught too.

That's a good sized crawdad. Looks like a good place to put down a trap. We had a family get together a couple summers ago. A cousin was married to a lady from the south. A stream ran through the back yard, and she said if it had crawdads, she'd boil them up for us. We waided into the creek and started turning over rocks. We found a bunch, but smaller than the one you have pictured. It was one bite per tail, but dipped in butter they were absoulutely delicious.

My shoe size is men's 9, so that one was a pretty big crawfish. :D
