Spent from 10:45A.M. to 1:30P.M. on the lake. Calm and cold. Marked fish from 10 feet to 55 feet. Trolling with leaded line, dodger/flasher, and mini-squid didn't work nor did trolling with spinner. Talked with another fisher and he had had no luck trolling top or with down rigger. Maybe I should be using Lake Roosevelt technique of trolling fast with a top water streamer fly?

Fish were flipping/slashing the top water, but what is that all about? A couple weeks ago we caught both spawners and brights, but now only one hit. I'd like to learn how to fish the lake. Anybody?
All in all, a beautiful day on the lake out in the middle and down at the small, quiet end so I am not complaining.

Maybe try using a wiggle hoochie they have worked for me on Roosevelt and Rufus woods when nothing else would work they seem to get a strike out of agitation but that's better than not catching anything no flasher either or try using with a flasher but flatlining them at least a hundred feet behind your boat with the one without a flasher try using about an 1/8 or 1/16 and always try different scents until you find the winner there is always a scent that will set them off good luck next time also Roosevelt will be heating up any day big kokes and bows

Ive used tripple teasers in silver, brass, hamered or not with red on them. Some pink works good as well. Also get some green giant white shoe peg corn tip 2 pices on hook. I use small flashers/dodgers with all my setups. If I seem them topping the water I wil run one flat line. The south end I like the side near I-5 and about the same side in the north I troll from the camp to the southish towards a house with a creek running by it. I hope this helps tight lines
