Finally! My home lake is Open! Why our state doesn't keep it open year round down right ****** me off but Here we go!
Like I mentioned in an earlier report, on fishing in the Columbia, I feel the fish are a lil behind this year.
Due of course to our outright miserable weather we've had! Brrr! Anyway as the month progressed ,the fishing got better and better.
There are a lot of fish on beds, but not even close to the numbers there were last year at this time. Each of my clients averaged 11 fish a day this month. The largest being a 4.15
Most of our fish have been caught drop-shooting on the beds! Yes drop shooting on the beds! Works GOOD!
Along with 3 inch Senkos and jigs! Like I tell my clients Patience is the key. Put the bait on the bed and leave it there. If that doesn't work change baits. You'll get em!
