We came on the lake about 6AM. It was cold, about 18. The previous week snowfall added a layer of ice. It is about 8inch total. We started to fish 40 feet from the shore and were moving in clock wise direction around the lake. Some areas were productive for perch and some for trout only. I was disappointed by the size of trout. It was about 8 and 10 inch max. However, I was catching lots of pan fish, crappie, and bass. Some of bass were in 5 pound range, and one was not going through 6 inch hole. So, you can imagine what size of bass was it. I believe our success was because we used special kind of small jigs, no bait. We bought our jigs from a Russian guy who made it for us $5 per piece. So, you can't find that kind of jigs in a store. Everyone in our team caught limit of perch, many bass and crappie, and lots of trout which were released. I don't have my pictures but pictures of my buddy, great fisherman.
