Had a great morning fishing at Beaver Lake. Arrived about 9:30 a.m. and fished until noon. The conditions were perfect, partially cloudy with no wind. I hooked up two nice fat trout on a blue & silver Kastmaster. Lost one of the fish at the bank after a good fight. It was approx. 16-17 inches and probably weighed about 2 lbs. Landed the second fish. It was 18 inches probably weighted about 2 1/2 lbs before I cleaned it.

Didn't see anyone else catch any fish while I was there, but an old timer at the lake told me the state will be stocking Beaver next Wednesday. As a side bonus, a gorgeous Bald Eagle landed in the tree about 25 feet above my head a few minutes before I left. It appeared to be eyeing my fish. Probably wanted to know if I was feeling generous. Either way, I gave the outing a 4 because it was a wonderul relaxing morning and I got to fight two beautiful fish. Tight Lines!

@urbanangler - Thanks. Beaver Lake is one of my favorite local lakes. It's usually pretty peaceful and has produced well for me the past couple years. Last season I caught 5 fish in the 18-22 inch range and lots of the regular plants 8-11 inch or so.

@tele_maniac - Were you fishing off the bank? Were you just casting and retrieving the kastmasters?
