Once again the water has warmed up and the fishing is turning on. This past week we had a good friend from Leavenworth camping at the resort, he brought in close to 50 crappie in the 13-15 inch range (HUGE). Bass fishermen have been doing very well all season (large mouth between 2# and 8#).Perch are spawning now so not a lot coming in this week. Most boats coming in with 10-20 perch in the 9-13 inch range. The spawn should be over soon and if the perch are anything like the crappie this year it should be fun. Not many people fish for trout in this lake, but the ones that do have been having a great time. Several limits of this years plants come out every weekend as well as carry overs up to 21 inchs. A few German Browns have been snapping 8#and10# lines( these are carry overs from at least 3 years ago). I heard of two large browns caught last weekend but I didn't get to see them. The camping is great this year, the cottonwoods have already bloomed and the cotton is almost all gone. As always the horseshoe pits are busy and the camp fire chat is great
