Don and Nancy Franklin came over from Olympia and shared a "Chamber of Commerce" day on Lake Chelan with me. We watched distant lightning strikes on Chelan Butte as we began our fishing day near the Yacht Club. We started off with a nice run of 4 quality fish from 7 to 9 pounds. Then things got tougher as we eked out another fish and moved. The lower basin produced a few. We ended with a nice pile of fish fillets and temperatures pushing 80. The T4 LUCH Flatfish from Worden Lures was the most productive lure. Mack's Lures Cha Cha Squidder also caught some fish. Then at the end of the day, Worden Lures little F7 flatfish in LUCH also produced. Speeds of 1.4 to 1.6 mph worked best, and as always, staying tight to the bottom without dragging was the ticket.
