Got to the late about 11:00 am, the weather was pretty good with very little wind. They were quite a few boats leaving and most didn't have any luck that I talked to. I started off with a couple small weights pushing my lurel down, but I wasn't having any luck. I noticed the fish were pretty active at the surface hitting flies, so I took the weights off and within 15 minutes I had my biggest trout of the day (1 lb, 13.5 inches long) in the boat. Over the next 3 hours I trolled around the island getting many bites and landing 3 other trout before the day was over. This was my 3rd time to this lake in as many weeks and the first time I've had any luck. The previous 2 times water temp was much colder at 52 & 55 degrees. Today it was 58-60 depending on the spot I was at.
