My buddy and I slayed the kokanee today with us both getting our limmits. We had to poles on the riggers and two flat lining on top water (we both have two pole endorsments). Most of the fish were found between 20-27ft on the fish finder. We caught 7 on the down riggers that were 12in. The flat line rods acounted for only 3 fish in the boat, all three were smaller at about 10in. We lost about 7-8 fish at the boat and also had numerous strikes that did not stick. My friend and I must have been doing somthing right because all of the other boats were having no luck with kokanee today.

LOCOintheBrain is not joking. I was out on the lake on April 29, 2012 and was able to witness some of his kokanee "slaying" action. We did not get a single bite using a variety of spinners, spoons, kokanne troll, pop gear, dough and other trolls but I noticed LOCO reeling them in. We talked to them and asked what they were using. We tried to use the same or similar setup, but lack of downriggers made it a little difficult to find depth. After four hours on the water, we didn't even get a tiny nibble and gave up. We ended up going to North Lake and catching our limit, all fairly small though. Keep slaying it LOCO!
