First time fishing Langlois. Very pretty little lake. Got a late start and didn't begin fishing until nearly 8:00am. Weather was fairly heavy/dark cloud cover, but no rain. Wind was up a little, maybe 10-15mph gusts, but no real problem. Water was very clear with 10+ feet visibility. I began trolling a 4/0 hammered chrome dodger with a red wedding ring on one rod and a 50/50 4/0 dodger with a green wedding ring on another. Was slow for about 40 minutes with only one fish so I changed out my gear a few times before I found what they wanted. Then I began getting very consistent bites on the 50/50 dodger with green/glow wedding ring with brass blade, trolling 35-40 feet behind the boat, maybe 8-12 feet deep. Several bites came as I was letting out to reset after landing a fish. Shook off a handful and kept my limit for the smoker. No carryovers, but very decent size for hatchery fish. About 90 minutes on the water in all. 8-10 other boats/tubes out, some were on the fish, some were not. A good morning overall. It is definitely a lake I will fish again someday.

Only half as many fish planted there this year, compared to last.
