MAN DO I LOVE LAKE SAMISH!

These fish are down right huge for May, cant wait to see what theyll look like later in the year. Went 5/9 in a hour and a half this morning. It was cold and windy so bite wasnt the best, but i limited and lost some in not too much time, got 3 at 13 inches and one 15.2 and one 15.8, both of which were over a pound and took huge screaming runs! 25 feet was the go-to depth and crawlers (small piece) behind green Skagit tackle dodger was the killer. Released a nice Cuttie too.

Has anyone had a problem this year with vandalism at the Samish lake boat launch?? My liscense plate was stolen from the boat trailer and window broken. So watch out people, just a heads up. I need to bring a trail camera with me next time to catch these punks! Good fishing everyone.

What size hooks are typically used for Kokanee?

Yes i hear samish has problems. Although i havent had a problem these last few years... Generally, people use #6 or #4 hooks for kokes as far as octopus hooks go. I personally use a treble when trolling because i use to lose way wat too many fish, which i dont anymore

Don't let me steer yous guys away, generally Samish Lake rocks. Kokes in the morning then smallmouth and perch in the afternoon. What a diverse lake! love it.
