Our group of four decided to try Mineral Lake on Sunday, willing to put up with the long launch lines. There must have been a heck of a party Saturday night as there essentially no boats waiting to be launched, and very few on the lake. The Sheriff checked out the boat and we got launched. We were trolling pop gear, dodgers, and wedding rings with worms or power bait. While we had little trouble consistently hooking fish, there were disappointingly the smaller plants. At one point we started dragging a fly with equal success. We caught our limit and got off the lake, again with very little wait time. During the morning, however, the party-goers got up so there were a lot of boats fishing by the time we were leaving.
