Lonnie- Dang, I'm horribly jealous about your walleye success on Saturday, May 5th. My son (age 14) and I drove 3 hrs. from Redmond, WA. and fished from 6am to about 4:30pm and literally got maybe one legitimate strike. When we got to the landing at 5:45am there were 75 boats at the ramp for the start of a bass fishing tourney. Lake was fairly busy. We fished north along Airman Park, over by Goat Island and up both arms along the rocks trolling crawler harnesses with smiley rigs. Tried various speeds from 1-2 mph. and also drifting on the north end where the wind was up. We tried along the shore (6-12 ft.) of water and the flats. Tried jigging tubes (smoke color / salt & pepper flakes), etc.. I'm a Minnesota native and know walleye fishing pretty well; in fact we've had good luck on Moses last year over Memorial Day weekend. We'll give it another try in a few weeks. Perhaps our luck will change! Tight lines!
