Fantastic time practically in our own backyard! Daddy Daughter Fishing Day. :) I took my 4 and 9 year old daughters with me to Lake Walker today. The sun was shining, the fish were biting and we all caught fish. I was so proud of my 9 year old too, she cast, set the hook and reeled in a 12" rainbow all on her own. All I did was bait the hook and take the fish off. My youngest helped me reel in 3 of the 4 I caught. We started out at about 11 am and left at 2pm with 5 nice rainbows on the stringer.After reading yooperfisher's many great reports of successful limits for this lake, we tried mini crawlers about 4 feet under a float to start. After almost an hour of only a nibble or two we thought that between the sun and occasional wind gusts the fish were probably down a bit. We took off the floats in order to fish deeper. Minutes later we were reeling in the first catch of the day.

All in all, couldn't ask for more. Daddy daughter fishing time with my girls, nice weather, and willing biters.

@ CanoeingIT- I sure hope so, these are wonderful ages and I am glad they are having fun with something I love and my dad shared with me when I was their age.
@yooper_fisher- Not sure you missed us completely, I got permission a couple years back to use a private dock on the bank opposite the boat launch. :D So if you saw a guy with a couple little girls on that dock back there, it was us.
