So I work nights and decided to get out on the lake after work Friday morning. Kapowsin is about an hour out so i figured i'd be getting out there right when the fish were hitting. Now I have been fishing this lake pretty regularly lately and it seems that its a bit of a late bloomer in that the trout dont start moving too much until around 9 am. I was fishing with a wedding ring tipped with a worm and trolling back and forth across the lake at about 3-4 on the electric. I got a little board with that and brought out a couple of Rooster tails for fun. Had good luck with a black/white and a purple/black. the Fish i caught weren't massive but they put up a nice little fight. Id say in the 8"-12" range and no idea on the weight. Definitely interested to see how the lake heats up and do some bass fishing. Overall i had fun and some really nice hits.
