Well my brother and I decided to give Cranberry another try after reading about it on a previous posting in December. When we arrived on Friday the wind was only blowing about 70 mph. So we stuck it out, I've always had a good feeling about this lake. Anyway the next morning we got up at the crack of dawn and to our surprise the wind was tolerable. We proceeded to troll the area we call "the hole" with spoons that we heard worked well from a local we talked to on our trip in January. After an hour my brother "the fish scientist" caught a nice pound and a quarter carryover rainbow that resembled a football. Between 0700 to 1000 hours was the best fishing. That's when I hooked my best lake fish of the year so far, a 20 inch 2.25 pound Brown trout. We ended up with 5 fish that day 2 Browns and 3 Rainbows all over a pound. This is a very nice pre-opener lake but quit a drive from the south sound. Team Eagle keeps taggin em!
