Three of us hit the lake at midnight and for the first time in 4 years we mostly limited out before daylight. My buddy Ed limited at 3:06 AM with two trout over 17" and 3 smaller ones. I caught number 4 at 3:16 AM and stopped there, I had one over 17" and the other 3 averaging 12". My father-in-law limited out at 6:12 AM with 2 over 17" and the rest smaller.
We were using chartreuse powerbait about 18" off the bottom on a powerbait rig. The weather was nice until about 4:00 Am then it started to shower, other than that it was a great day and we were home by 7:30 AM.
I went to Elma pond that evening with another buddy and caught a 22" trout to fill my limit for the day.
