I arrived at the dam off U.S. 12 at 0700 with landlocked coho on the brain. There were only 3 other people there, which I thought was bad news, but while I took a quick walk I saw 2 bites. I settled in on the rocks close to the dam and rigged up a slip bobber with half a crawler and gulp corn about 11' below. Within the first 90 minutes I had 3 fish in the cooler, lost one, and missed about 7 (they were biting lighter than normal, if you can believe that). After 0830 the bite slowed down. I left at 1030 with my limit, having missed about 6 in that 2 hour period.
The fish are def bigger than they were a month ago and still around. The bite isn't as good as before, but there are just as many, if not more, jumpers. I should also point out that in the time it took me to get my 5, I only saw another 5 caught by others. I don't know if I had the spot, the bait, or the depth, but the fish are def there if you can convince them to bite.
