Rented a boat from Andersons with Hubby & 2 of the kids. Weather was miserable 30 minutes after getting on the water at about 9am. I got the first bite of the day at about 2pm. Definitely wasn't the trout we were going for... Something grabbed my line and decided to run with it. My crummy little setup couldn't take it & snapped the line. Bummer. Shortly after that we found a spot smack in the middle of the lake to tie off to a log and it wasn't more than 15 minutes before we started cranking them in the boat. Power bait did absolutely nothing for these fish. They were all interested in the little green fake squishy worms we had with a pinch of real worm on the end. We yanked in 8 between the 4 of us in about an hour and headed for home. Had it not been for the last hour we spent out there, the whole day would have been a bust. We will definitely go back but will definitely wait for better weather.
